The Heart Behind Mary’s Mission
At Mary’s Mission Inc., we believe that physical activity can change lives. Our mission is to offer inclusive fitness programs and supportive services that help individuals of all abilities grow stronger—physically, emotionally, and socially.
Through our programs, we aim to:
✔ Help individuals build strength, endurance, and coordination at a pace that works for them.
✔ Create a welcoming space where everyone—no matter their ability—feels respected, included, and empowered.
✔ Boost self-confidence through personal milestones, socialization, and shared achievements.
✔ Inspire lifelong wellness by making fitness fun, adaptable, and accessible to all.
Our programs are thoughtfully designed for participants with and without disabilities.
Whether it’s building skills in adaptive Taekwondo, challenging themselves in resistance training, or gaining coordination with our obstacle courses, everyone at Mary’s Mission finds a place to move, connect, and thrive.

The Story Behind Mary’s Mission
Mary’s Mission Inc. was founded by Grandmaster Mary Smith, a lifelong martial artist with over 45 years of Taekwondo experience and nearly two decades as in special education. Over the years, Grandmaster Mary saw just how powerful movement, structure, and encouragement could be—not only for athletes, but for individuals of all abilities.
Motivated by the belief that everyone deserves a space to grow stronger and feel empowered, she launched a specialized Taekwondo program tailored to children and adults with disabilities. The results were life-changing. Students gained strength, confidence, and a sense of belonging and community—and Grandmaster Mary knew she had to do more.
That vision became Mary’s Mission Inc., a nonprofit built to make fitness accessible, supportive, and meaningful. What started in a single martial arts studio has grown into a supportive community offering adaptive Taekwondo, obstacle courses, and more. And we’re just getting started—with plans to expand into team sports, outdoor activities, and even corporate wellness workshops.
At Mary’s Mission, we believe fitness should fit you. Whether you’re new to exercise, experienced, or seeking a welcoming environment for yourself or a loved one, you’ll find a place here to grow, move, and thrive—together.
